• Developing and delivering high quality, proportionate planning applications for our established pipeline of solar, solar+battery storage and standalone battery storage developments.
• Assisting the Lead Planner in highlighting risk effectively throughout the planning process and making suggestions for mitigative actions.
• Leading a panel of external planning consultants and communications experts and attending site visits and public consultations. 
• Managing all external communications related to the planning process. 
• Monitoring cost and budgets, and delivering projects within budget and programme.
• Ensuing compliance with ib vogt’s Sustainable Development Goals
• Supporting the Lead Planner in assessing new sites for development, including through the use of GIS tools, data and site visits across the UK.
• Working closely with the rest of the team, especially our design engineers, land and grid experts to ensure the development remains viable.

• Degree and/or masters in town planning.
• Working knowledge of the TCPA planning system.
• 2 to 5 years’ experience of managing the preparation of complex, major planning applications and appeals and leading a team of consultants in the UK.
• High detail orientation.
• Ability to prioritise tasks to meet changing business needs with a challenging and varying workload
• Working well as part of an interdisciplinary team, considering development requirements that are wider than planning.

• Full UK Driving Licence. 
• Knowledge of the UK solar and battery development process, in both England and Scotland
• Use of GIS tools (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS).
• Experience of NSIP/s36/DNS projects.
• Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI)*
