Our Company is a US national developer of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects with a typical
project size greater than 150 MW. We are the US subsidiary of a major global renewable IPP, with a fast-
moving and dedicated team of development professionals. Our pipeline includes around 10 GW of solar
and storage projects, across MISO, PJM, SPP, ERCOT and WECC.
Your Job
This is a leadership role that will be responsible for transmission strategy, interconnection analysis, queue
submission and managing junior resources within the team. We are seeking individuals that are
comfortable to take ownership of all the interconnection and grid from initial application submission to
final LGIA execution. Preference is for candidates with at least 10 years of experience in interconnection
and power systems modeling and 5+ years managing electrical engineering teams.
As this position will heavily influence strategies such as market entry and new investments, we are seeking
candidates that are not afraid to make ‘predictive’ recommendations. Lastly, proven experience managing
project interconnection processes and modeling and negotiating around network upgrade costs, while
leading relationships with relevant ISOs and TOs, is a must.

  • Manage all interconnection activities through the full life cycle of initial interconnection application submissions through LGIA executions and final design / engineering of our solar PV + storage projects in MISO, PJM, SPP, WECC, ERCOT and other bilateral markets.
  • Maintain relationships with the ISO interconnection teams, keep abreast of all the applicable interconnection policies, tariffs and proactively support internal communications related to the impact of any policy updates on our project development activities.
  • Participate in ISO transmission task forces, industry bodies related to transmission policies, FERC and related organizations to represent the Company’s position.
  • Track ISO / Utility transmission expansion plans, resource plans and interconnection regulations as they evolve.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Development and Markets in the Greenfield project development activities; lead by offering strategic advice to the development team on mitigating risks, costs and identifying opportunities around transmission expansion.
  • Manage the preparation and filing of interconnection requests; proactively track and manage transmission application risks across the ISOs.
  • Oversee shadow system impact studies to identify future risks and opportunities around solar and storage interconnection, including network upgrade costs.
  • Collaborate with the M&A leadership around all transmission interconnection matters; take transmission lead’ during M&A initiatives.
  • Manage interconnection design related Capex estimates for the projects working with both the engineering team and 3 rd party consultants. 
  • Oversee the power system modeling including injection studies, load flow analysis and transmission curtailments analysis.
Your profile
  • Deep expertise related to transmission systems and interconnection processes across ISOs, especially PJM, MISO, SPP and ERCOT.
  • A Master’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering and/or background and expertise with PSCAD, PSS/E, PSLF, PROMOD and other grid modeling tools.
  • Knowledgeable around Utility OATT policies, transmission cost regulations, ISO transmission planning; background in HV transmission project design, construction and cost estimates around sub-stations / transmission lines / switch yards and schedule management will be a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple project activities at any given time with an organized approach to leadership, fostering team empowerment, accountability and attention to detail; act as a mentor and invest in the junior team members growth and development
This role is a fully remote role with less than 25% travel primarily to visit our project sites, manage ISO /
TO discussions and represent the Company at industry events.
